FAQs - Episode I - What the heck's a Google Master?

Greetings & Salutation Googleings

I’m Drake Austin, and I’m a Google Master!

But wait?.....
What is a
Google Master
Don’t you mean Google Workspace Consultant/Specialist/Expert/(Other adjective)!!!

Oh I am all of those as well (a card carrying member even!), but I grew up in the wings of the theater. I’ve been on stage in front of sold out houses, behind the curtain managing props, actors and directing. On sets of Indie Film shoots as an actor and Unit Production Manager.

I’ve also been worldbuilding a Dungeons & Dragons world for over 15 years. Even Jerry rigged an online way of playing RPG games via Google before Roll20 was an idea.

So as a Thespian and Dungeon/Game Master. Game Master = GM which turned into, Google Master. Thus my title is forged in the fires of Mt.Nerd!

On top of that, I’ve been obsessed with Google since my young days of Google Earthing my house in high school. I’ve beta tested apps before their release, and am currently enrolled in over 15 early access builds of Google Apps and Services. I’ve been in research groups, gotten certified, was awarded a Google scholarship, have their phones and devices scattered around my apartment and am constantly looking for new ways to push every boundary of every app and service they offer.

So while a lot of my Workspace colleagues are Specialists and Experts, these are titles that fit their analytical, right brain way of thinking. Whereas while I love analytics, and metrics I think in the vibrant colors of the left (& right), allowing my years of art to fill the gaps of the administrative bureaucracy of policies and procedures.

All this life experience has given me an awesome skill set to help businesses not just solve their digital problems, but destroy them with efficiency

So that my friends, is a Google Master!

Do you have a Google Disciple on your team?

Someone on top of the ever evolving landscape of the digital world?

Oh? You Don't?! Well then we obviously NEED to have a talk!
